Wizardborn (The Runelords, Book 3) David Farland
Tor Fantasy, 2002
Great fantasy, unique, entertaining and thoughtul
+ Keep them coming!
When I started this series I wasn't sure if it was all it was cracked up to be. But to me it just seems to get better and better. He started with the endowment system in the first book, and while it seems like that was the focus toward the beginning, I don't think it was ever supposed to be the ...

Sons of the Oak (Runelords) David Farland
Tor Fantasy, 2007
Finally a worthy master-piece!
+ Fun quick read.
I have been looking for years for a new epic saga to interest me. I have read all of Tolkien, Jordan, Eddings, Feist, Martin, Goodkind, Salvatore, etc. but have been in a real rut trying to discover a new series to transport me to a new universe. THIS IS IT! I absolutely love the fantasy styling ...

Worldbinder (Runelords) David Farland
Tor Books, 2007
Another solid Entry in the Runelords Universe
+ A great set up for an emotionally satisfying next book ... again.
I have come to discover that when it comes to the writing of David Farland, opinions seem to vary quite-a-bit...even more so than a LOT of other fantasy authors writing today. Sure, this could be just MY varied opinion on this series (which by and large I truly have enjoyed), but I find it amazing ...

The Sum of All Men (The Runelords, Book One:) David Farland
Tor Fantasy, 1999
Something to think about
+ Entertaining, although morally bankrupt characters + Surprisingly Good!
This is one of those books in which the characters are so rich that you can easily miss that the book has an undercurrent that is asking a important question, what is the question in this story?
Well it is actually a lot of different questions that are not always answered in this story but just ...

The Lair of Bones (Runelords, Book 4) David Farland
Tor Books, 2003
A Fitting Conclusion to an Original Series
+ Almost an adequate ending. Almost.
I picked this book up just recently, after going back and re-reading the first three. Like one of the previus reviewer's said, you aren't re-introduced to characters, so if you've not read Book 3 in a while, you might want to re-acquaint yourself.
I finished this book in an afternoon, so it's an ...

Brotherhood of the Wolf (The Runelords, Book Two) David Farland
Tor Fantasy, 2000
Pure Enjoyment
+ Brotherhood of the Wolf - Runelords #2 + Great example of how to excite an avid Fantasy reader!
I have been reading fantasy novels for the past 18 years. In that time I have not come across such a fresh look at the genre as I have here. Mr. Farland has successfully created a world where you are always in suspense.
If you are looking for a new experience in the Fantasy genre then you ...

The Wyrmling Horde: The Seventh Book of the Runelords David Farland
Tor Books, 2008
Resparks interest in the series
+ a good read, but let's get to the point. + the wyrmling horde
I thought that this book was very well written. From the beginning of his Runelord series David Farland has had a great story, but it was a little rough around the edges. This book smoothed out some of those rough patches and has me waiting on the edge of my seat for the next book to be released.
