what is the epitome of the "perfect" girl?

I believe what made me so drawn to this movie when I first saw it was Mila Kunis' character, Rachel Jensen. Aside from being stunningly attractive in this movie, she portrays the type of girl I believe most guys dream of having... one who can give a man a reason to hope again after being kicked down to his knees. Throughout this movie, she picks him back up from his devastating breakup to title character Sarah Marshall - played by Veronica Mars' Kristen Bell - as someone who opens his eyes to how his ex treated him, and what he truely deserves. She - the character - is the answer to my title question.

Jason Segel's performance in this movie was brilliant. While not going completely over the top with the sexual humor typical of Apatow movies, Segel instead gives a performance about a man named Peter who could do much more for himself, but instead was content with what he had (all the while taking it for granted). In the end, he finally realizes his potential with the help of his new love interest Rachel.

Over all, this movie still gives me a warm feeling each time I watch it. To me, it is one of those movies that is a joy to watch no matter how many times you have seen it. While refreshingly humorous, witty and clever (including a Dracula Musical written by Jason Segel in real life), it is sure to leave the viewer with a happy feeling at the end.

As a fan of Apatow films, I will go out on a limb and say this film could be listed as one of the greatest comedies of this decade.

"If I Put Clothes On It's Over" ~ Break-Up, Heartache And Vampire Love

If you're looking for an extremely entertaining comedy/romance that delivers a wonderful mix of laugh out load sequences cleverly intertwined with some surprisingly poignant moments than look no further. The film you most definitely want to see is the delightful '08 release 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall'. Jason Segel is perfect in the role of poor, broken hearted Peter Bretter who has just been dumped by love interest and popular television actress Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). In an attempt to flee from his pain he jumps on a plane and flies to Hawaii only to discover his ex and her new boyfriend are also there and staying in the same hotel.

Will Peter win back the love and affection of Sarah or will he find what he is looking for in another? Maybe with the attentive and attractive girl (Mila Kunis) managing the front desk at the hotel?

This film has it all; attractive, solid cast, superior story line with lots of hilarious, quirky moments and memorable dialogue you're sure to quote again and again. The only thing I would change if I could would be seeing Jason Segel nude (TWICE). Outside of that it's thumbs up all the way!

Some Good Laughs

This romantic comedy provides quite a few laughs and laughable situations, and the acting by the main characters is quite good. Some zany characters with minor roles (Damon the bartender and Kemo) add to the fun. Russell Brand's performance as British hip rocker Aldous Snow enlivens the fun and almost steals the show.

The movie lacked something that I can't quite pinpoint, so 3 stars is the best I can give for this one. Most viewers will enjoy this one.
