EMI Classics, 2008 average customer review:based on 1 review view larger image  for more information click here Don't skip this cd because you've never heard of this guy I prefer my Chopin and Mozart a bit more sober and not overly sentimental, and I absolutely love both his Chopin and Mozart. For all Egorov has went through, strangely his interpretation was not as profound or dramatic as some other pianists. There is an awareness to his longing, a sensibility that accompanies the loneliness. You won't lose yourself in his music, won't be washed away by emotions, yet this clarity only allows you to feel the surrounding pain more vividly. Certainly a very memorable recording. Tracks 1.
