Eoin Colfer describes his new book, Artemis Fowl, as "DieHard with fairies." He's not far wrong.Twelve-year-old Artemis Fowl is the most ingenious criminal mastermind inhistory. A great kiddie-lit sci-fi/fantasy

This is a really fun series that blasts off right out of the gate. Good for kids 9 and up I think. It's alot lighter than Harry Potter.
