When
Batman
(Adam West) and Robin (Burt Ward) get a tip that Commodore Schmidlapp (Reginald Denny) is in danger aboard his yacht, they launch a rescue mission. But the tip is a set-up by four of the most powerful villains ever, who seek to defeat the Dynamic Duo once and for all! Armed with a dehydrator that can turn humans into dust, the fearsome foursome intends to take over the world! Can the Caped Crusaders use their high-flying heroism and groovy gadgetry to declaw Catwoman (Lee Meriwether), ice the Penguin (Burgess Meredith), upstage the Joker (Cesar Romero), and stump the Riddler (Frank Gorshin) in time?

HOLY SMOKE BATMAN! NICE DVD EDITION!
Well after watching a few of the newer
Batman
films, I figured it was time to revisit the original Batman
Movie
from the mid 60's. Both DVD releases are the same, so if your looking to buy this movie, buy the cheapest one!
The film itself looks clean with vibrant colors and clear sound. This is such a fun movie for fans of the series because it has so many Bat-thingys! The word 'camp' should be defined by this film with the entire cast whooping it up to make this a fantastic and entertaining cartoon like movie. The action never stops from the opening with Batman fighting a shark while hanging from a ladder attached to the Bat-copter to the Bat-boat VS Penguin submarine battle finale!
The DVD transfer is excellent and there are many cool extras to keep Bat-fans busy for a while. Both releases have the same extras and quality transfer. Till the next Batman review...... same Bat time.....same Bat channel!

The Original Riddler!!! Why this movie is worth buying!!!!!
If you can't wait for the next film after
Batman
Begins and The Dark Knight, get this 1960's classic; e
special
ly if you can't wait to see the Riddler and are tired of the Jim Carrey version.
Whether you prefer Christian Bale or Michael Keaton, Adam West is easily arguable as the second best (if not the first) Batman/Bruce Wayne.
Not only does this
movie
have the Riddler (Frank Gorshin), it also includes a mousestached-Joker (Cesar Romero), a Grumpy Old Men-Penguin (Burgess Meredith), a really hot brunette-Catwoman (Lee Meriwether), and the most cliched-Robin (Burt Ward).
The Batcopter, Batboat, and Batmobile are all here too, with written-out word punches, kicks, and splashes.
The only thing missing from this movie is even more baddies. Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, and Poison Ivy should be in here as well to make it more campy.Clawed - The Legend of Sasquatch

Hilarious!
This is the other half of
Batman
. You've got the Christian Bale one, and this one. Both are great. The you got Tim Burton's and Joel Shumacher's uneven films, that are meh. See this!
Riddle Me This!
For a segment of the Baby Boomers,
Batman
is Adam West, Robin is Burt Ward and comic book fun reigns supreme. Then, a "Dark Knight" would be spelled a bit differently and mean cloud cover at midnight.
This 1966
movie
features four villains - The Joker (Cesar Romero), The Penguin (Burgess Meredith), The Riddler (Frank Gorshin), The Catwoman (Lee Meriwether) - who combine forces as The United Underworld, with the goal of turning the nine United World Security Council members into multicolored crystals. It is up to the Caped Crusader and the Boy Wonder to save the world from this fearsome foursome.
Originally planned as the pilot film for the TV series, the movie was produced between the show's first and second seasons. The movie is a fun romp of 105 minutes - there are several bonus features included - and clearly shows that The Joker isn't alone in saying, "A joke a day, keeps the glum away!"

Classic Kitsch 60s camp caper
DO NOT get this for superlative acting or cinematic brilliance. It's just SO silly that it is priceless and highly enjoyable. The villains are a bit weak e
special
ly the Joker, but the Dynamic Duo are as camp and corny as ever. Could have been a little bit shorter. Otherwise classic silly entertainment - the shark and bomb scenes are so ridiculous they have to be seen to be believed. Hilarious!
