The size compared to other items for the same use is good because it is earier to use and it easily hooks over a bar within the shower (no need for a hook). I purchased more than one to have on hand in case they stop making this moddle. We had an exact model that lasted for many, many years. We purchased two other kinds when ours broke, but did not like them and kept looking until we found this one on Amazon.
