It is by far the easiest can opener, manual or electric, for people with any issues of strength or dexterity. I have arthritis and this can opener is truly effortless. It is easy for children to operate. Cleaning is simple since the can opener easily lifts off its base.

ONLY FOOLISH PEOPLE USE ELECTRIC CAN OPENERS

Swing A Way is simply the best can opener ever made. Be careful when ordering as some of these Amazon listings are confused and state that it is a wall mount unit when it is actually the hand held portable. Either unit works perfectly well, but the wall mounted one is very convenient and always ready to go. I just replaced my wall unit after 18 years of service and was very happy to find that quality is still excellent and still made in the USA. Please don't waste valuable electrical energy for such an easy task.

Throw away your other can openers

This one is it. I've been using the Swing A Way can opener for years, so has my parents for that matter. When my first one wore out after more than 15 years, there was no question as to replacing it with another. Get yourself one and you'll see.
