Anyway...I simply love Avril Lavigne!, and I hate those who say her voice sucks or that she's bratty-cause she's NOT! I think she sings awesomely and people can connect to her sings. Plus, she is a very strong person. Did you know she sang at a concert the same day her grandfather died-after he died? Some of earth's population may think she is just horrorible and that she cusses too much (my dad thinks that) but I disagree, though I do think she does cuss a lot... So don't to so loser
who dises Avril. They are WRONG! Avril Lavigne is definitely one of my favorite artists and is totally one of the best female singers EVER!

Lives Up To Her Bad Reputation

I like this cd. Reminds me of Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" - punky, bratty, fun, if perhaps a bit over-produced. Not crazy about the new band; I liked the younger guys better than these older "pros". To my ears, they gave her work a bit more energy; my only complaint on "Best Damn Thing" is that the music sounds somewhat forced, a bit too pristine. Not the greatest album ever, maybe not as good as her monumental first release, but a fun, enjoyable collection of well-crafted punky pop with strong hooks.

The Best Damn Album! ...sort of!

I waited a while to purchase this album because the price was a bit too high when it was first released. Now that they hype of the first summer single is over, I can listen to the album for what it is...a good feeling rockish collection of songs. I was not impressed with "Girlfriend" when I first heard it. I believe it sounded too immature for Avril. She has a good mind and has made some interesting music in the past without giving the impression that she was selling out. There are one or two other songs on this album that are in the same vein as "Girlfriend" that only cheerleaders will appreciate, but otherwise this album is the same old Avril we knew before she became friends with Paris Hilton. I believe the song "Runaway" is the best she has ever recorded and worth the price of the entire album.

Fun!

I thought this album was fun! Definatly a different side of Avril but a very upbeat CD. It makes you wanna dance and sing along. Don't be too harsh on her. It's not her BEST CD, but it is a good one. It gets you in a very energetic mood. The songs are:
Girlfriend, I Can Do Better, Runaway, The Best Damn Thing, When You're Gone, Everything Back But You, Hot,Innocence, I don't Have To Try,One Of Those Girls, Contagious, and Keep Holding On.

As you may know, Avril also released a clean version too (as well as an explcit.) She also has a DVD of her live in concert. (A pretty cool dvd!!!!!!)

Avril is pretty talented- so many hit songs: Sk8er Boi, Complicated, I'm With You, My Happy Ending, When You're Gone, Girlfriend, Innocence, as well as so many other great songs.

By the way, although Amazon marks this edittion explicit, it's not. I rate this CD a 4 out of 5 stars.
