Baja Bob's Key Lime Margarita Mix
I absolutely love Baja Bob's margarita mix and will buy it again. I received it in record time and could not have been more delighted with my experience.
A way to cut the guilt when enjoying a margarita
I first found Baja Bob's in our local state-run liquor store, and I do love it. Mind you, I'm a seasoned diet drinker (diet soda, Splenda in my tea, Crystal Light, sugar-free Koolaid, etc), so I personally couldn't taste the difference between Jose Cuervo margarita mix and Baja Bob's sugar free margarita mix. I also like to add a splash of Diet Coke to my margaritas, as it makes it taste like a really good, smooth Long Island Ice Tea, so that further blurs the difference between regular and sugar free mixes.
The only downside? Those 32 oz bottles disappear *fast*! And they're not cheap. I'm going to experiment with making my own diet margarita mix, but until that day, I'll continue to use Baja Bob's. (There's also a powdered margarita mix available at Baja Bob's website, that's a little cheaper and easier to ship, but I have not tried it.)
Yummy margaritas
Good mix. Love that there is no sugar. Can't really taste the difference.
Practically guilt-free
'Ritas are my adult beverage of choice, so I'm a tough customer. I'm trying to be more health-conscious, so this seemed like a good bet, given the positive ratings. You *can* taste the difference between the high-cal high-carb syrup in regular mixes vs. the Splenda in Baja Bob's. I am a diet soda drinker, so this is not a turn-off for me. I used to cut the regular mixes with diet tonic to decrease the sweetness, anyway. This mixer can be "sweetened up" a bit by adding some Diet 7-up, Mist Free, or Fresca. I will purchase this again.
