Solid well built LED Flashlight

I came across a number of products from Freeplay. Among them are their flashlights. I decided to take a closer look at them at our local Target Store and ended up buying one from the store since it was cheaper than Amazon.

The product feels very solid and well designed and well built. The crank device for charging up the built-in battery also feels very solid and well-engineered. We've just had it for a couple of days so we're hoping that are initial impressions pan out in the long run.

We decided to make the switch to LED flashlights to replace the assortment of flashlights that we have around the house that require batteries and those little lightbulbs. In deciding to replace the old flashlight technology we also thought we should get ones that we can use in an emergency.

These flashlights seem to meet that requirement. The LED's are very bright. There are 7 of them. There are 2 settings, one for very bright and one for "normal". It comes with an AC adapter so you can charge it up as you would an rechargeable device and we can use the crank to charge it up when there's a blackout.

We haven't tested the crank generator for any extended period of time. We'll try to do that once the battery runs down.
