They say it's not the heat, but the humidity. Well fret not, because the versatile Timex TX1012 wall thermometer/hygrometer displays both at the same time. The compact unit--which hangs on virtually any wall from its built-in hanger hole--features a durable round plastic case that holds up to rain, snow, and scorching sun. More significantly, it measures the temperature from -30 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit (with a minimal +/- 2 degree margin of error), helping you instantly gauge whether to bring the plants indoors during a cold spell or put on some shorts before taking a stroll. The hygrometer scale, meanwhile, measures the relative humidity between 10 percent and 90 percent. The combination of thermometer/hygrometer makes this a great unit for greenhouses, saunas, humidors, and homes with expensive art collections, among other locations. Measuring 4.12 inches in diameter, the TX1012 is backed by a two-year warranty.

Piece of junk

I tacked this item onto an order for the Honeywell TM005X Wireless Thermo-Hygrometer (very good product, works well, easy to read) as it was only five bucks and took my order over the $25 mark to qualify for free shipping. As noted in a couple of other reviews on this site, the hygrometer needle never moved off of about 70%. I sent it to Timex (?) or Maverick Industries, whoever they are, for replacement. The second one was no better, in fact the hygrometer needle fell off its pivot. Save your money.

This useless product does not work

This product simply does not work. Do not waste your money.
> It shows relative humidity of 60% when actual relative humidity is 18%.
> It shows temperature of 80 degrees F when actual temperature is 72 degrees F.

I am surprised Amazon is still selling this stuff.
