This beautifully-recorded, two CD set contains the finest selection of
classical
wedding
pieces played by the Lumiere String Quartet, with the addition of flute and trumpet for certain pieces. This collection contains all of the popular, classical pieces used for weddings, with the addition of two contemporary works, including Palladio from the De Beers Diamond commercial. These CDs include Pachelbel's Canon, Handel's Hornpipe, Trumpet Voluntary, the Entrance of the Queen of Sheba and many other favorite wedding selections. Best of all, these selections are played by the New York City-based Lumiere String Quartet, so you can be assured that if you hire a string quartet for your wedding, this is what you will hear. After your wedding, sit back and relax to these classics again and again as a reminder of your special day!

Re-living my wedding music . . . ? Priceless!
Listening to the Lumiere String Quartet's "
Classical
Wedding
Music
," I was alternately squealing with delight ("this was played at MY wedding!") and shedding tears of joy ("this was played at MY wedding!"). Lumiere has done a masterful job of translating these classic pieces to the quartet form. The sound is rich and full. Yes, it works if you're listening for wedding music, but what makes the CD so delightful is that it serves beautifully as chamber music . . . even outside the wedding context. There's something for everyone here -- from the sweet and delicate "Air from Suite No. 3" to the triumphant and majestic "Trumpet Voluntary/Prince of Denmark March." A treat to listen to, whether you're getting married, got married, or have no intention of getting married and just like fine music expertly played!

Practical and Beautiful
This is a truly practical collection of
music
you can actually use at your
wedding
. Because it involves original works and arrangements for a stribg quartet, you can think of having live music at your wedding. (There is always a string quartet -- pro or amateur - in the neighborhood that would be delighted to play these wonderful melodies. Worse case: the record sound is great and you can play the CD for a minimum ceremony and still feel you've done the right thing!
Definitely will use these at my wedding
The
music
on these CDs is exactly what I had in mind. The beautiful music will fill the high celing of the church and everyone will enjoy it. The pieces are well done and sound wonderful. I love them!
