Loosely based on a true story about the efforts of one man to bring marriageable women to the forests of the Pacific Northwest in the 1870s this vintage comedy from the 1960s was set in a Seattle logging community. The workers are threatening to leave due to the scarcity of women so the camp owners the Bolt brothers (Robert Brown Bobby Sherman and David Soul) do the only thing they can: import 100 women from Massachusetts. The brothers pull this off only by borrowing money from their rival Aaron Stempel (Mark Lenard) whose terms dictate that all the women have to remain for an entire year during which all quotas must be met. If not he takes control of the Bolt brothers' mountain. I remember when.....

What a kick I had out of watching this show! I remember my whole family stretched out in front of our TV enjoying this series. The storyline was taken from the musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". Sweet characters and great drama. Bobby Sherman is a dream! I had a hard time finding this one, but finally found it on Amazon!!! Thank you Amazon for bringing back some of my childhood memories!!!!

Great show , that was far behind the Western Television popularity time period , and by the time I saw it , was in syndication , but I still loved the show ,especially Bobby , and Candy's storyline of the show.

Enjoyed past memories

I love this show. I didn't realize how much I missed it until I got to watch the first season. Jason seemed so strong and great at holding everything together. The first time around I was in love with Joshua, but this time, I have to admit it was Jason! This show brought back so many good memories that I almost felt like I was living in the past again. I remember my Junior High School best friend I ran around with back then, who has passed on since, but they were good fun memorable feelings, watching the show together. I recommend "Here Come the Brides" to anyone. It's such a feel good show without all the sex and backstabbing of today's shows. Please come out with the next season soon. I can't wait to go back in time and enjoy the next season all over again.

Brought back some great memories...

As the opening song started, I couldn't help but remember watching this as I was growing up and it brought back such wonderful childhood memories. The video transfer is fantastic. I sat and watched the first few episodes and it just made me smile as I found myself going back in time remembering sitting around our tv with my family watching this show. We looked forward to it each week. I look forward to sharing this now with my own kids and grandkids. Great purchase!

The product is everything I had anticipated. It was in good shape brand new and worked well and as I watched it brought back great memories of a time when I was totally in love with Bobby Sherman :) I would suggest this product for anyone who loved Here Comes The Brides as a child, young adult or adult.
