Beats patching!!

I picked up a thorn, tire lost half its air, probably because of my incorrect thorn-removal technique (see below). But I pumped the tire back up, and 300 miles later it is still as solid as a brand new tube. NO WHEEL REMOVAL OR PATCH REQUIRED -- one experience like that makes it worth the slight extra cost!

On my second puncture with this tube, I immediate rotated the pinhole to the bottom of the wheel. The tube then sealed immediately, and lost virtually no air. These tubes are great!!!

Here are some tips for those who tend to ignore the instructions on the box.

1. When removing a thorn, rotate so that the thorn is at the bottom of the tire. You will lose a lot less air that way.
2. When pumping up the tire, rotate so that the stem is at the top.

It really works!

I rejuvinated an old road bike, and started riding again. My son, an avid mountain biker suggested using slime for my tubes. It is a bit of a project with Presta valves. Since the tires and tubes were 20 years old I replaced both. These tubes are easy since they come with Slime installed. On my second ride, I ran over a wad of construction staples. Two of them cut through my rear tire. I was only a couple of miles from home so I got out my pump, and pumped up the tire and rode it home! When I got home I examined the tire, and found the two big staples hanging out with green slime surrounding them. The tire held air until the next day.

I am sold on the product.
