The fisheye view - the way lomographers live and see life. Imagine everything above, below, and around you streaming through your eyes and compacting into a nice and compact little ball. Think about your best friend's nose being vacuum-sucked into your lens, all the while their eyes and forehead are s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d back. Visualize yourself bowled over by the devastating colors that only fine glass can deliver. The world's first honest-to-God Fisheye camera is here and waiting to swim into your life. Open your heart, stretch out your hands, and grease up your fins.

Great

For what it is it is darn amazing, if you want critical sharpness don't spend thirty dollars on a single exposure 35mm fisheye. Go Spend a thousand on a specific lens. Its great fun, a great travel camera.

Fun and funky little camera

This camera is pretty fun to play with. I guess I had different expectations for how the the pictures would come out. But once I knew what to expect I had a lot of fun with it! When you get your prints back, the image is in a black circle. And if you're not careful, your feet may end up in the shot because of the lens being so wide! Also I got a few shots with the lens cap dangling in the way. So be mindful of your lens cap and your feet and just go to town!

Fishie

This camera is really easy to use -- once you get the hang of it. I suggest getting a cheap role of film to shoot some test shots before doing anything serious. Also, it works best outside. Clearly this isn't a primary camera but it's nice to have in your camera bag for a more unusual or artsy shot.

Vibrant and Fun

I've had this camera for about a year now, having forgotten to review it when I first received it, and I love it. The colors are surprisingly vibrant, more so than I had expected, and the camera has a nice feel to it. Because this is a fisheye camera, I find that I've stopped using the viewfinder. I just point the camera at my intended subject and shoot. Part of the fun is in not know exactly how your picture will turn out, and usually it turns out great.

This camera works best in bright, natural lighting. I used it while flying kites with friends and loved the results. Inside, the pictures tend to turn out dark without the flash, or white washed with the flash, as the flash tends to be too strong.

This camera isn't perfect, which it the point. You have to expect and embrace the imperfections, otherwise this camera will drive you crazy. But for those looking for something fun and different, I fully recommend the Lomo Fisheye.
