My son is a pistachio fanatic. He loves pistachios and it has become a Christmas tradition that I give him pastichios in his stocking. This large, mammoth jar is just right for him.

Pistachios are a tree nut and these are known to be "heart healthy". One serving equals 49 pistachios according to the USDA. This serving contains 13 grams of fat, of which, only 1.5 grams are saturated fat. So most of the fat is a good fat and helps to lower cholesterol. Pistachios provide 10% of dietary fiber, Vitamin B6, thiamin, phosphorus and copper.
