Monitor the temperature of smoked meats from up to 100 feet away! Wireless receiver with LCD beeps and flashes when smoked meat temperature surpasses programmed temperature or if smoking chamber temperature falls out of programmed range. Receiver features count up/down timer, back lighting, belt clip and stand; transmitter has food probe wire, smoking chamber probe wire and stand/hanger. Can also be used with grills and ovens. Includes 4 AAA batteries.

Excellent!!

I have used this many times since I bought it, cooking everything from pork shoulder for 15 hours to beef roast and ribs for 6-12 hours. My next venture will be a brisket. I recommend this for anyone that has interest in smoking foods.

Works as advertised

Products works very well. A couple of annoying things:

(1) The power switch for the main unit is behind the battery compartment, which makes no sense and gets annoying, especially since the plastic screw that holds the battery door is very easy to lose.

(2) Be careful with the meat thermometer since you can burn it out fairly easily. This is probably true of most thermometers so I would not attribute this to the RediChek.

Probe cables too short

The unit is great and works perfectly. The only issue is that the probe cables are too short and therefore clumsy.
