Railroad Tycoon 3 takes you to the Golden Era of Railroading, and challenges you to make your fortune! Players begin with a modest sum of capital and have to expand their business until it becomes an empire. You'll also manipulate a realistic stock market and build up a massive fortune, while running their railroad into bankruptcy. Carve out your own cross-country routes -- build tunnels, overpasses and bridges over rivers, bays and canyons

One of the best constructor games

I rate Railroad tycoon definitely one of the very best constructor games - a must-have for every family. It offers a wide learning experience that can be tailored to suit and every facet has enough depth to keep intense involvement going for hours.I had feared that it would soon become history, but the third version is just so great and brings it all into a new life. Thank you MacSoft, a fantastic effort!

Excellent game

Railroad Tycoon 3 is really a great game. It makes completely realistic game scenarios and taught me more about running a shipping business than school ever came close to.

Good if you can get around the bugs

The game is entertaining and provides some light hearted fun. You do have to get around the bugs and crashes (about every 2 hours on my powerbook G4). I have only played it 3 times over 2 hours and it seems consistent for this small sample.

-Fun (For a while)
-Realalistic

-Has no add ons
