Winner of the 1990 CableACE Awards Doin' It Again is George Carlin's seventh live stand-up concert for HBO, taped at The State Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1990. In Doin' It Again, the minutiae of everyday life is up for Carlin's hilarious interpretation as he takes on the best of the worst in all of us. From embarrassing underwear situations to people who announce their bathroom activities, nothing escapes this comedic veteran's watchful eye. Cancer, rape, stupid people, dogs, organ donor programs, when toilet paper became bathroom tissue, "pulling the plug," and offensive language all receives Carlin's special treatment in this uproarious performance.

I think this IS one of Carlin's finer shows. The beginning is outrageous as Carlin explains the language he will not be using for the show, and the routine that follows ("Life's Little Moments") had me in stitches for weeks especially when he describes shaking hands with someone who's missing a few fingers. Carlin goes on to one of his many routines about dogs, expresses his thoughts on cancer, talks about stupid people, the humorous side of rape, feminists, blowjobs, prostitution, his good ideas (Including the Sony S***man), things we never see or hear, things we don't want to hear, organ donor programs, comatose, and ends with a tight discussion on words and euphemisms. All the while making his traditional goofy faces and voices which just add to the laughs. This is a very entertaining special and comes recommended.

I saw this on Cable last night and had to buy it

I was clicking through the channels last night at around 1 AM and happened upon this on HBO. I could not stop laughing! I'm surprised I didn't wake my wife up who was sleeping upstairs. I thought this was such an excellent show that I had to buy it to show my wife. I know I will want to see this over and over. I know she'll love it too. This is a brilliant, articulate man. He tells us about the bizarre and hillarious things that he thinks about during the day.

EXCELLENT SHOW! CARLIN CLASSIC!

Watching these shows now after his untimely death, I appreciate them even more. Not only are they funny, they are completely engrossing as you watch a master at work! This is another great thought provoking set! One of his best. Like a fine wine, George got better with age. I pictured him perfoming well into his 80's!

This was awesome I know that's very unelaborate but the material on here is probably the best i've ever heard from any comedian not George's best but it's in the top 5 and brilliant none the less.
