a MUST HAVE for cruise ship employees
if you have ever wanted to work on a
cruise
ship
- this book is a Must Have as part of the hiring process! It is written in a fun way to tell you all about the
life
, but it has some good insight on the other things that go on. I had decided to pursue my dream to work on a cruise ship and this was a wonderful tool to help me get through it and to also know what to expect.
I now have that dream job and I recommend it to all of my friends on board, since I think we can all benefit from it; no matter how many years we have worked at sea.
Whether you are a
passenger
or a cruise ship employee - it is enjoyable for everyone to read!!

A great book that gives an inside view to the live of cruise ship employees
This book was a quick read as it is very hard to put it down. It is told from the author's point of view of being an assistant
cruise
director for Carvinal Cruise Lines during the early 1990's. It goes through most aspects of the
ship
with funny stories. If you've ever cruise before or are thinking about working on a cruise ship, you should definitely read this book.
The author tells it like it is, without holding back. The aspect I like the best about the book is that Berman approaches the book as a way to tell his stories of being aboard, not trying to do too much with it and create more than what it is. While the cruise industry has evolved into the newer and bigger superliners, it is a great read.

What can I say!
From a former
cruise
staff member of the early 90's, Micha's stories are right on the money. I laughed so hard my head and stomach both hurt.
Awesome read for avid cruisers and novices too, to understand just what our lives are like living aboard, below decks.

Straight from the Gut
Micha, called "Micha the Mouth" by his website, writes with no holds-barred, direct style that many authors only use with close friends. This book is entertaining, insightful and to the point. You want to travel with Micha to Vietnam or South Africa after getting to know him. Rarely do people reveal what actually happens behind the scenes in industries where they still have relation
ship
s, but Micha shows courage to tell a lot. Perhaps he should next write a book on staying married since his wife has chosen to keep with him after this escapade!

A great read
This book is a blast. Micha really gets to the heart of the subject in a succinct well-written book. It's a fun book that is informative, humorous and enjoyable. For people who've been on
cruise
s, want to go on cruises, this book is a must read. It really gives you a insider's point of view, which can make the trip much more exciting. Also, I think this book would be fun for really anybody who enjoys a good travel story. Micha's job search and travels are captivating and also a strong motivator for people to learn how to achieve their goals by determination and hard work.
