The author vocalizes authentic adolescent fears of social acceptance, peer intimidation, and self-image.
Satisfied parent
My son needed to select 2 books to read over the summer. He chose "The
Skin
I'm In" and he loved it. He wrote an awesome report about his reflection on the book. He stated that the book was something he enjoyed reading because he gave him a different outlook on his African American culture. I purchased an additional book to be placed in my classroom library. A great book and I'm elated that my son enjoyed reading this book. I definitely recommend this book to young people to read.
