Lots of laughs and great songs have made this all-time favorite based on the hit Broadway show one of the most memorable musicals of all time. When rock star and teenage heart-throb Conrad Birdie gets drafted the nation's teenagers go haywire and Conrad's manager Albert (Dick Van Dyke) faces unemployment. So Albert and his girlfriend (Janet Leigh) organize a nationwide contest in which one lucky girl wins a farewell kiss from Conrad on the Ed Sullivan Show. Kim McAfee (Ann-Margret) turns outto be the lucky teenager and Conrad's whole entourage moves into her quiet Midwestern home much tothe chagrin of her ever irritable father (Paul Lynde) and her jealous boyfriend (Bobby Rydell). Whats with the cover on this DVD?

Why do they make a DVD with cover art that does not even appear in the film? Also Ann Margrets final shot in the end is cut off! This was a great musical of the 60's with great performances and songs and the current packaging makes it look like a B film! cOLUMBIA PICTURES, get it together!

Timeless

For those who don't believe in musicals (that would include me!) this movie is just good fun. Great for all ages. Great movie to watch with the entire family.

I purchased this for my granddaughters who saw a production of this musical and loved it. they were delighted with the video.

A Great Classic...

My mother introduced me to this movie when I was thirteen and I have been a fan of classic movies eversince and today I am twenty three. This movie is fun and the music is great, also is very funny. I love the fashions on the women and the story is well put together...I definitely recommend this film.
