It's pure
bottle
d magic! A complete kit that ingeniously marries
science
and fun in the breakthrough vein of The Bug Book & Bug Bottle (1.7 million copies in print) and The Bones Book & Skeleton (1.65 million copies in print), Pop Bottle Science presents 79 easy, hands-on experiments that probe the worlds of chemistry, physics, biology, geology, weather, the human body, and even astronomy.
The Pop Bottle bottle is a perfect miniature science lab--see-through, flexible, air-tight when necessary, made out of a durable, shatter-proof plastic and designed with a removable top that doubles as a funnel. The Pop Bottle book is a lively, fully illustrated 96-page guide to astonishment. Each experiment begins with a challenge and ends with an explanation of the scientific principles involved. Kids can design a volcano and watch it erupt. Create a tornado-maker and see how twisters work. Make quicksand--is it solid or liquid? Observe photosynthesis in action. Simulate Jupiter's giant red spot, investigate buoyancy, demonstrate inertia, and discover the Bernoulli principle--which allows planes to fly. Plus, turn the bottle into a barometer, a thermometer, walkie-talkie, trombone, compass--or groovy lava lamp.

Pop Bottle Science
Bought 2 Pop
Bottle
Science
for our grandchildren for Christmas and they just love all the experiments they can do! It is a very educational and fun product that teaches kids how science works in everyday circumstances. Would recommend buying this product for any child who is into Science and wants to learn more about the subject!
Really Fun Birthday Present for a Science Buff
Bought this as a gift for a
science
buff and it came in a really cute sturdy
bottle
. I am not sure if the child has used it yet, but he seemed to really like it and couldn't wait to use it. I don't think you can go wrong w/this product for someone who likes science and the price is right too.

Making Science Fun, and Funny
This is one of my favorite gifts for kids ages 5-8ish. The experiments convey the principles in a really fun way, and the packaging is darling. Highly recommended.
science
You need an extra 2 litre
bottle
but that is ok. They are easy and interesting experiments. The kids get a kick out of them.
Fun for family but...
I melted it! We made the lava lamp experiment which was kind of anticlimactic and it was really vegetable oily afterwards. I had the
bottle
soaking in the sink while making dinner and then I stupidly drained the pasta near it and ended up melting the bottle--so no more pop bottle! I ended up ordering another so my daughter wouldn't be upset. It's a fun thing to have for experiements, just be ready to do it with your kids! I have since given it as a birthday gift to a 9 yr old.
