This controversial e-book phenomenon became a best-seller and landed its author, a certified marriage and family therapist, on The O'Reilly Factor and the Rush Limbaugh radio show. Dr. Robert Glover has devoted his career as a psychotherapist to freeing men from what he was dubbed the "Nice Guy Syndrome"-trying too hard to please others while neglecting their own needs, thus causing unhappiness and resentfulness. It's no wonder that unfulfilled Nice Guys lash out in frusteration at their loved ones, claims Dr. Glover. He explains how they can stop seeking approval and start getting what they want in life, by presenting the information and tools to help them ensure their needs are met, to express their emotions, to have a satisfying sex life, to embrace their masculinity and form meaningful relationships with other men, and to live up to their creative potential.

excellent advice if you are a Nice Guy

I found this book very helpful in understanding Nice Guy syndrom in me, many excellent advices on self-growth, but I found "facing your fear" the most crucial and difficult to follow. Highly recommended if you think you are one of the Nice Guys.

I also found "M.Young "probonolaw"'s review on this title most objective and insightful.

Change is your mind

If I have had this book in my hands about 5 years ago, things might have been different... But now it is not late to start, and change for good. I haven't had the best in love in my life, but this book gave me a fresh and different perspective on the way of thinking. I highly recommend this book to anyone. I didn't know, this nice guy syndrome really existed and I thought I had my life in control until BOOM I made something to destroy it. I didn't know I had this syndrome, but this book made it clear for me, that there is always a way to change for good to become a healthier male or an alpha male. I also recommend reading "How to become an Alpha Male" by John Alexander.

I can't believe I'm actually going to say this but...

I really did like this book. And it actually is pretty enlightening and insightful. I know, I know, I'm surprised myself but it's true. I was very impressed. By now you all know my favorite book is Tao Cycle Therapy, by Sarah Shikitao-Brown Tao Cycle Therapy: Natural Happiness via Self Directed Cure for Chronic Anxiety & Depression [Updated 2008 3nd Edition] but I have to say this one is surprisingly good. Give them both a try.
