Very good book

This book was very helpful. It has a lot of ideas for application. It is very well written and easy to understand. I learned how to better manage classroom behavior, incentive ideas, how to be calm and confident.I would recommend this book it's a Great book!

A Must Read!

When I told my sister how great this book is, she asked me, "Why don't they use it in college education classes?" Good question! If you are a struggling teacher (not a "natural"), this is a must read for you.

Cartoons are great

The cartoons are great in this handy book on discipline and instruction. There are many useful strategies and it is reader friendly. When I read some of the stories, I burst out laughing. It is informative while being entertaining.

Tools for teaching

I am reading this book and I found that everything Dr. Jones say is true. He focus on body language which definitely a major contribution to maintain discipline. He gives you an idea on what to do when you have discipline disruption. He also tells you what to do to help maintain classroom management. This book have CDs of his workshops which are very expensive. You can download at his website the study guides, which helps you practice what you learn. I have not try his techniques in real life, but some techniques that he mentions I have done it in my previous experience and have worked. I recommend it for people who want to improve themselves as being a more effective teacher and parent.

Basic knowledge for a first year teacher

Good information for first year teachers, but if you have taught for a while it is definitely just a review of everything that you already have experienced and know.
