What a difference...comparing "
Strength
for
Life
" to any of the other
fitness
/exercise books on the market today is like comparing a game of hopscotch with an Olympic long jump. This book is as much about personal growth and enlightenment as it physical fitness. Shawn has found a way to cut directly through the crap that stops most people from LIVING STRONG and motivates action based on our own innate desire to "be more". I never realized, before reading "Strength for Life" that it was the pursuit of living strong, not just healthy and in the absence of disease, that has had the most profound affect on my life. After reading Shawn's insights I'm ready to take it to a whole new level.

I spend a lot of my time in "self-reflection"--attempting to see how to show up with

I can't say enough about the outstanding readability, intelligence and wisdom of the content. But equally important, it's the practicality of implementing the changes in thinking and behavior that Shawn suggests that makes this book so useful.
This is a new way of looking at our human condition. It's not just good health that we should seek. It's living a

Ties together health, fitness, life goals, and zen like nothing i've ever seen
And i thought Shawn's last book, AbSolution, was great. This book blows it out of the water.
I first read Body for
Life
in 2001. It was helpful but incomplete. Body for Life was a starting point, but left out the "why."
Strength
for Life completes the "why" with incredible depth and passion - and brings the health and
fitness
components to a very high level. The Focus Intensity Training work has transformed my workouts. The idea of a cleansing "Base Camp" has been very useful and has changed my relationship with food and snacking. I find myself going back to Base Camp every once in a while after i've been off my eating

.
And how Shawn ties health and fitness together with goals and higher life purpose must be read to be appreciated. I am a huge goal setter, and I learned several tools from Shawn in this book I have put into practice already.

A whole new meaning to "Raising the Bar"!
When I had heard that Shawn had a new book coming out, I knew it would be good. After reading it, I realized I was wrong. Good...great...outstanding...those words fall short of what he has accomplished with
Strength
for
Life
. It's not just that he packages so much incredible information into a clear, concise message that makes sense and is easy to follow. But it's his ability to connect with each of us, to move us into action, and now, with the Strength to keep that energy continuously moving forward. As I said when I read it, "If this book doesn't move you into action, check to see if you have a pulse"!
