The hardships of a slave

I think that this book is different from any other book I've read. I also think that this book is amazing. I never realized how hard a slave's life was until I read this book. I'm glad that in the end Clotee was finally free.

This book is about a slave girl who tells what it was like to be a slave.It made me understand more about the torture that they went through. If you are interested about slavery, then this historical fiction book is just for you.

this is truly an amazing book. it was the first dear america book i ever read and it got me hooked on the series. I really liked clotee's hope and faith and wanting to learn.

I think this is an awsome book for all girls & young teens to read. I am a Dear America fananick! (I think i spelled it right) If you LOVE Dear America books like me than I assure you that you will fall in love with this book too. Ecpecially if you like stories about slavery, The Underground Railroad, and Slavery Rights. You HAVE to read this book!!!
