The best book out there on RSI!

This book is excellent! As a long time RSI sufferer, I found this book to be a great source of information and hope. It is very well written, and it is clear that the authors have an extremely thorough understanding of repetitive strain injuries. The book describes a theory of how RSI develops, and how it can be treated most effectively. I also learned quite a bit from the case studies of six RSI patients, and was heartened by their successful recovery. Most importantly, the authors outline a very practical and understandable treatment approach. I am now following this suggested treatment, and am very optimistic that I will recover from my four-year battle with RSI. If you have a computer-related injury, I recommend that you buy this book now!

It's Not In My Head!

After being told by other 'specialists' I had fibromyalgia and that this pain was all in my head and I would have to live w/ it, a friend of mind introduced me to Suparna Damany. She has used the exact techniques she outlines in her book and after 7 months of therapy, I am finally getting better. Of course not every case is the same, but the road to getting better is definitely shorter the quicker you start therapy. After reading this book, I had immediate emotional relief because I knew it wasn't in my head and there was a good chance I could go back to being pain free. Her book is also excellent for the person(boss, spouse)who doesn't understand what you're going through. The reading is easy and it makes total sense. I cried after and during the reading of this book knowing that not only was this thing real, but that someone actually could treat me and possibly make me better. This book described me to a TEE! Read this book BEFORE you get surgery or quit your job or just give up and live with the pain. The only thing I am surprised at is why there aren't hundreds of physical therapists who understand repetitive stress injuries. There aren't! Suparna Damany is one in a million!

An RSI Masterpiece!

If you buy only 1 book to explain the mysteries of RSI, this is the one to get! Jack Bellis, one of the authors of this book, was a severe RSI sufferer, and was able to express his personal problems with RSI throughout the book. The co-author, Suparna Damany, holds a Master Of Science degree in physical therapy. Together, they were able to put the pieces of the RSI puzzle together, explaining exactly what's happening to your body and why, with well-placed humor that made me laugh through my grateful tears. This book saved me from falling into a depression, helping me to understand the full effects of my injuries. I also wrote to the authors, and received a reply within 2 days. Wonderful, caring people, who wrote an RSI masterpiece!

Helpful advice for those with RSI

This book has lots of useful information on RSI, all in one place. It offers helpful advice on the many things computer users can do to improve their health. It is uplifting, without promising a "miracle cure".

A useful overview

This book presents a very useful overview and explanation of RSI type symptoms. It is very readable and clear to understand and takes a refreshing approach. I had minor symptoms but it encouraged me to take them seriously and do something about them with, I am pleased to say, successful results.
