Chocolate fountain

I gave this chocolate fountain as a gift to my grandchildren and they loved it!!! However, we found out that it needed quite a lot of chocolate... a lot more than we anticipated. Thus it can't be used as much as we would've wanted to.

Chocolate Fountain

I bought the fountain for my wedding reception. I actually have not used it yet but I am excited to use it. I have had other people tell me how great they are! For the price either way it will be worth it!

Beautiful to look at.. BUT....

This is wonderfully fun but MESSY! I mean MESSY! it sort of leaves splatters on the table cloth & not recommended for formal occasions if young kids are around!

We planned to use it at my son's wedding, but thankfully we tested it first at the rehearsal dinner the night before. It splattered all over the table it was on, as guests stuck their fruit on the stick or marshmallow in it gave off little tiny splatters. I wouldnt' suggest it for use at weddings because it would possibly stain nice gowns!

Clean up ! UGH! Terribly messy! You have to dump the excess chocolate out before it hardens, then take it apart, exposing all the messy chocolate covered layers, the large bowl layers are easy to clean but I didn't like having to handle the sticky messy chocolate covered pcs!

BUT ~ to be fair ~ is would be better used for an outdoor party like p ool party or in a pool screened cabana where critters can't fly into the choc mix lol ! ~ or for use in a less formal gathering it's probably great.

TASTE: It tasted Fantastic. but I've received a fondue chocolate melting kit since using this fountain ~ & it's MUCH more elegant to use the melting pot fondue type of set up for more elegant or intimate settings. Plus the CLEAN UP is much easier with the dipping fondue set.

I really suggest buying a smaller table top fondue melting pot... unless you maybe use a brown table cloth & give guests an apron as they approach it !lol
