Outstanding!
I only wish I'd known what a great leap forward my
grill
ing ability would take with using this grill -- I'd have bought this style long ago. I did a beef roast just last night that may have been the best I've ever cooked (get the roast rack, too; you'll be glad you did). I got the green with the whitewall tires and love its vintage look on the deck of my vintage home, also. The "

" ash removal system actually is not quite one touch, but it's a vast improvement over the old way of dumping the ashes.
Can't go wrong with a Weber
I had an 18"
Weber
kettle
for a few years which did me fine, and this 22 1/2" is a superb upgrade! The ash catcher is so much nicer for cleanup. Wonderfuly easy to assemble. My girlfriend calls the blue very handsome.

Great grill
Excellent flavor and easy to clean. Would highly recommend getting the
gold
model due to the charcoal catcher underneath. Would also recommend getting the slide-aside.
Outstanding Grill
I couldn't be happier with this
grill
. I bought it about two months ago when the tank on the gas grill went empty. I have yet to get the tank refilled.
The
Weber
was easy to assemble in spite of the lousy directions menti
one
d in an earlier review. The ash catcher is easy to use -- much more convenient than the previous charcoal grill or the barrel smoker. I still wouldn't use this on a deck, though. I've dropped hot ash on the ground when adjusting the lower vents.
The hinged grate is super for indirect cooking, and I added the inexpensive charcoal rails to help contain the charcoal. They work great. It's easy to add charcoal, or wood for smoking. After making the best brisket in more than 20 years on the Weber, I'm thinking the barrel smoker will only be brought out for banquet-quantity cooking.
I've cooked on this grill at least every other day since I bought it. Everything from burgers to seafood has been great. I'm sure there's nothing about the Silver model that would lessen the quality of the food cooked on it, but I think the extra $$ for the conveniences of the
Gold
was entirely worth it. Oh yeah, get the Weber chimney starter, too. It's more sturdy and has a larger capacity than others I've used. Watch the handle, though -- the Weber handle material tends to heat up.
If I had to gripe about something, it would be the hanger in the lid. It might be easier and more stable if it were a bit longer. But in the big picture, that's nothing.
In summary -- Buy this grill. You won't be disappointed.

Nice Grill
This is actually my 3rd purchase of this
Weber
model. I
grill
almost every night all year round so it gets a workout. Be aware that the packaging could be better. This
one
and the previous one I ordered from Amazon 3 years ago, both had minor damage to the grill lid.
