Reverence, Respect, and Love
Much has been written here regarding the magic that was created that night in Albert Hall as a tribute to
George
by those who obviously loved him. Kudos to Clapton to have arranged an incredible evening of sight and sound from the grand venue, to the song selection and arrangements. It was overwhelming for me to watch the
concert
unfold from the Indidan compositions, to Monty Python's contributions, and finally expressions of love from his good friends in life who played with him throughout his potent musical career. You realize what kind of man he was as you listen to his songs filled with hope and compassion that were performed flawlessly and respectful to the way George recorded them.
I was continually surprised by the choice of songs, and thought I'd never hear any of them live---ever! By Dahni joining Lynne, and Petty for "Handle With Care," I was dumbfounded. I was sucked in to Paul's sentimental ukelele solo of "Something" that exploded into the best full blown rendition I ever heard; and yes Clapton's and McCartney's harmony in the refrain brought me to tears.
Along with Sam Brown's vocals which were astounding on "Horse to Water" and Joe Brown's finale "See You in My Dreams," was the chilling piano introduction to "My Guitar Gently Weeps." Clapton had played the lead guitar bridge on the White Album version as a guest performer, which was unheard of at the time. To play along with Ringo on drums and Paul on piano, Clapton brought us as close to heaven and George as we could get that night in Royal Albert Hall. A perfect celebration for an extraordinary man.

Anoushka
I didn't realize how much of the Video would be Indian music, but was pleasantly surprised. I found myself enjoying the rhythms and flowing melodys. It touched me to here Ravi express his feelings for
George
. The best surprise was Anoushka Shankar's solo, I didn't know anything about her, but she blew me away, what a talent. I was so impressed that I am attending an upcoming
concert
of Ravi and Anoushka.
Great Concert
Unless your into Indian music(about40 minutes), skip ahead to the
George
Harrison songs. It's still well worth buying. I normally wouldn't give a
concert
5 stars if I have to skip that much of the concert, but when the George Harrison songs start, it's a great concert. George's son plays the throughout most of the consert. He looks so much like his Dad.
It's like a two for one concert. You can have some great Indian music for dinner, then for an upbeat party atmosphere play the George music.

As good as it gets
This is one of the most moving events ever filmed. The musicians are all icons in their own right and having them on stage to pay tribute to Geroge Harrison will surely bring a tear to your eye. His son being on stage only adds to the emotion. The quality of the sound and the video are near perfect. If you only buy one
concert
on DVD in your lifetime, this should be it.
A fitting George Harrison Tribute
A really great CD dedicated to a really great man. Listening to
George
's songs sung by those who he loved & loved him was highly emotional & enjoyable.
