BEST CONTROLLER EVER!!!
In my time with the
Xbox
, I have gone through a lot of
controller
s (Pelican Afterglow,
Black
Controller S, MadCatz, etc.) but I have thrown most of those out, thanks to their lack of comfort and quality. I still have a Wireless Logitech controller, and use that for 1st player most of the time. The first time that I used this controller, I instantly knew that I had to buy one for my Xbox. This controller works great with every single game I own. Nothing happens on it to make me dislike it. Now instead of using the Logitech for 1st player, I just use the Controller S. Buy it!!! You won't be dissapointed!!!

FINE FOR CASUAL GAMERS
Okay, so you have your
Xbox
ready to play. You are putting the giant "Bigfoot"
controller
in your hands. You are sitting on the couch wondering if your hands will ever be able to fit around this monsterous controller. Well, now they will thanks to the new Controller S from Microsoft. This controller is perfectly sized for small and large hands. You can move it around easily, and it is more compact than the original Xbox controller. It has wires, but they are very long so they can reach to your sofa or easychair. When I got my Xbox, I bought "Project Gotham Racing" with it. It came with a basic "S" controller, and I was very happy. Even better, It is less confusing to use than that of the PS2. Even though the PS2's controller is nice, it has very odd button placement and the buttons are close together, so you can't really get a grip on the controller. The Controller S is very well designed with smaller children in mind. The only flaw that this controller has is that when you play a game with a lot of vibration, the little spinners that make the controller vibrate, get loud and annoying. I think that this may only be a problem in my Controller S but maybe it is a flaw in a load of them. The price is reasonable for a wired controller, but for an extra ten dollars, you could get a Logitech Wireless controller. They are very good also, but you have to push down on the A, B, Y, and X buttons for them to work properly.
BOTTOM LINE: This is a great controller for casual gamers, but not really for pros. I would recomend this product if you don't care if the vibraters whir loudly. The price is reasonable, but for a few more dollars, you could go wireless.

Best Controller that I've used, but it could be improved.
The first console that I ever played on was the original playstation, with it's innovative Dual Shock
controller
. The Dual Shock is showing it's age, with it's symetrical arrangement and outdated ergonomics. This is were the Controller S comes into play. This thing is incredibly comfortable to hold for long periods of time and fits in the hand very well, on top of that, the dual analogue sticks are no longer in a parallel positioning, which makes them more comfortable to use. The four main buttons in in a good placement for quickly tapping them in games. Lastly, the two triggers are a great improvement over shoulder buttons, at least for the purpose that they're intended for.
I neglegted to mention two of the buttons on this controller though, the
Black
and White buttons. These two buttons are in a horrible position that is hard to reach when you need to hit them. Personally, I know that I have a hard time finding the right one in a game such as Halo, and I accidentally turn on my flashlight when I want to switch Grenade types and end up having a much harder time than I should have. When I talked about the triggers being an improvement over shoulder buttons, I said that they're in improvement for the purpose they were intended for, this purpose being shooter games and driving games. The black and white buttons ought to be shoulder buttons, placed above the triggers, making them much easier to reach and hit in a situation that needs them.
I've read that the Dual Shock is the standard by which other contollers are judged, I feel that this controller at the very least nearly eauals the Dual Shock. And the needed improvements have been included on the
xbox
360 controller, with the shoulder buttons. Though on that subject I also read that any game controls that use both the triggers and the shoulder buttons will automatically be failed because, "the intent is not to make gamers mash fingers." I haven't been able to use the 360 controller yet, but I certainly hope that's not the case as shoulder buttons are a much needed improvement over the black and white buttons, and failing such a configuration would decrease funtionality in the controller. On top of that, this is one of the Dual Shock's best features, and would be a great addition to a great controller.

. I out
Anti-Sweep
I like a lot those gadgets, considering my 46 years old. Most of my son's games are X-Action game that make me sweet a lot.
I would put in this
controller
an anti-sweep coil to better grabbing.
