The Perfect Storm

The perfect storm was a terrific novel about a real life story about a fishing crew at sea. This true story novel takes place in 1991 on the Atlantic ocean off the coast of Massachusetts on the grand banks miles off shore.
Captain Billy Tyne and the crew of the Andrea gale a sword boat that was lost at sea was forced to make an attempt home back to Massachusetts through a hurricane. This novel depicts the true events the crew of the Andrea Gale went through trying to survive on there course through the hurricane.

The Perfect Storm, a novel made famous by the movie starring none other than the 3rd Batman, George Clooney.

A dramatically ironic novel based around the lives of poor fisherman in a depressed close knit town, that end up choosing their careers over their lives. The Story starts off slow, and gives a great description of the fishermen stressing their poverty, and alcoholic natures. It did not hit me as a very interesting or good book at first, but as the rising action heats up, and the storm takes full force, my god did it rip me out of my seat and grab my attention. Admittedly, I must confess that the beginning of the Novel did not catch my interest, and it took forever to get past chapter two.
like I said, it gets off to a slow start, but if you can stivk with the book, your in for quite a ride.
