Should be callled the Weber "O BABY- Q" Grill!

We bought this grill strictly for tailgating this fall and it performed like a champ! It lit up without a problem on those chilly and breezy Big Ten Saturdays. Cooked everything fast and without ANY issues. It also cooled off quickly as the cast aluminum outer body does not retain heat. As such, we ate and drank to as close to game time as we could, stowed the cooled-off grill in the SUV with confidence, and made it to the game in time for kick-off. Once home this grill proved to be very easy to clean. This is a quality product that I expect to use for many years to come.

A friend told me about this grill. She said it cooks just like the big ones. This is the best grill I have owned. Perfect at home and to take in my motor home.

Weber Q-100; A Great Little Grill!

The Weber Baby Q (Q-100) is a great little grill. This cute, compact grill is constructed of durable materials (cast aluminum shell and enameled cast iron cooking grate) and does what it was designed to do very well--- grilling relatively tender cuts of meat over direct, moderate heat. Its portability makes it a fine companion for tailgating, picnics and car camping (but not backpacking). The main thing that gas grills have going for them is their convenience. Although I prefer the flavor, versatility and heat control of cooking over a multi-level hardwood coal fire, there are times (especially week nights) when it's just easier to turn a knob, push a button, and start grilling. The baby Q is great for grilling burgers, steaks, chops, sausages, chicken breasts, pork tenderloin, seafood, etc. What the baby-Q wasn't designed for is barbecuing less tender cuts (brisket, pork shoulder, spareribs) indirectly over low heat for a long period of time (Look into the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker Smoker to fill your smokehouse flavor needs). The use of the 14.1 oz. soldering cylinder (Bernzomatic) is a non-issue for me. Where I live, they are readily available and LESS expensive than the 16 oz. "camping" cylinders.
I do recommend buying the Weber 3666/ 6501 six-foot adapter hose to connect to a bulk tank (from Amazon $24.99--just ONE cent away from $25.00 free ship--go ahead and get it gift wrapped for 99 cents). This hose has replaced the 41455 according to Weber.
One minor concern with the grill is that the range of heat is too narrow. The top end is not as high as I'd like and the low end is not low enough. Switching the propane cylinder with a MAPP gas cylinder would probably solve the high-end heat problem but IS NOT RECOMMENDED (MAPP gas burns at 5301 degrees F, way above the melting point of the grill)!! Guess I'll have to live with propane. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Weber Q-100 and heartily recommend it to anyone looking for a small, dependable, portable gas unit for grilling.
