Ignore the so called "Spotlight Review" above
Let It Be...
Naked
is a fantastic release by Apple. Pay no attention to the so called "spotlight" reviewer above who gives it 2 stars due to his utter ignorance. That person is either tone deaf or has never actually listened to the original Let It Be album. The 1970 version's audio quality is so poor and muffled that it sounds like it was recorded inside a drain pipe. Let It Be... Naked offers the listener a gloriously remastered version of these songs with bright, crisp audio. All of the background hiss on tracks like Get Back and I've Got a Feeling is thankfully gone. We can now actually hear Paul's great singing much better on these songs. Also, the "spotlight" reviewer claims Spector only exercised overindulgence with Across the Universe, I Me Mine, and The Long and Winding Road. Uh, sorry dude, but why don't you also check out the crummy orchestral organ music that Spector inserted to trash the 1970 version's title track "Let It Be". The new version restores a beautiful acoustic jam in the middle of the song. Overall, Let It Be... Naked is an awesome album that is far superior to the original release.

Way superior to the original
Beatle fan, Beatle historian, or just someone shopping at WalMart, this set is worth buying. It isn't "The Beatles Get Back" as originally intended, but a VAST improvement on the "Let It Be" album, which, folks, I bought in the cut-out bins at Woolworths for 99 Cents years ago. Much more like a Beatles record than "Let It Be" ever was.
I'd really rather they released the "Let It Be" film though, as I've seen it and wished I had recorded it...
Those who wrote bad reviews for this kind of miss the point, but they have a right to their opinion...

Must have for Beatles fans!
If you're a big Beatles fan like me, you will enjoy the stripped-down version of these great songs.
"Let it Rest"
I'm a huge Beatle fan. I "grew up" with them. And I never liked "Let it Be." "...
Naked
" isn't much of an improvement. Technically it actually sounds worse, although de-Spectoring was a good idea. The original plan was to have a rough, live feel to the album and, in John's words, to "have none of your (George Martin's) production rubbish."
Now you really can hear and buy "Get Back," the advanced LP pressing of "Let it Be" sent mostly to DJs. CD Maximum (Russia) has issued a number of Beatles' two-fers, and "Get Back" is coupled with "Yellow Submarine." "Get Back" feels like the Beatles and makes sense in relation to the film.
**1/2 (for some reason this site won't let me give LIB less than four stars. I know it's "Naked," but I'm blaming Phil Spector!)
