Disney, in my opinion, has created another sensational musical score for their upcoming movie "Brother Bear". It's the kind of music you just want to keep listening to (Well for me anyway). The Brother Bear Soundtrack has many good songs, along with 3 very good orchestral pieces.
The beat to "Brother Bear" fits with the "Theme" and "Feeling" of the movie (from what I can tell from previews). I think this is going to be one of those movies, where you take your kids to see it, and you notice they are bouncing (or tapping there feet) to the beat and songs of the movie.
The music is lively and friendly. Phil Collins is an excellent artist to bring to the Disney movies. Tina Tuner also has a great song titled "Great Spirits". Another great group to feature in this sound track is "The Blind Boys Of Alabama" singing, "Welcome".
The orchestral pieces are as good as the songs. You can get a good "Feeling" about the movie through these songs. They are well composed, and one of the orchestral pieces "Three Brothers" has an excellent ending to it. It's the type of ending were you want to rewind it and listen to that section of the song again.
I haven't heard a good style of music (from Disney) for quite some time. This style of music reminds me of the great orchestral hits/vocal pieces of "The Lion King", "Beauty and The Beast", and "Aladdin". It's good to know that there will be an excellent soundtrack to follow this movie. If you would like to sample these songs, you can go to the Official Brother Bear website (http://www.disney.com/brotherbear). There they have some brief samples of the songs, which are on the soundtrack.
$14.99 is an excellent price for this soundtrack. I would defiantly recommend this soundtrack to anyone who enjoys good Disney music. I hope the movie "Brother Bear" is as good as this soundtrack is. If it is, then your family is in for a real treat.
"On My Way" is probably the best song out there, and it has that Canadian mountain-countryside thing going on,which is great.
I loved it. Go have a listen for yourself.Phil's Disney Magic "Brother Bear" Phil Collins second work with Disney. "Tarzan" the first was an excellent album. This album isn't quite as good but still is an excellent collection as Phil writes and collaborates with such artists as Tina Turner, The Bulgarian Women's Choir, Blind Boys Of Alabama, Oren Waters, Mark Mancina & Chris Montan. Some excellent songs on this album, highlighted by the track "No Way Out"(Theme From Brother Bear)...other highlights include "On My Way" and the album's first single "Look Through My Eyes". Once again I think Phil has found a good audience with children in this soundtrack. Adult fans of Phil should find something to like with this album as well. Phil has long left his pop roots behind...but nevertheless he is still a powerful songwriter and these songs go to prove that.
