", by James Patterson, was a great book. The first two chapters caught my attention right away. I couldn't put the book down. I was so surprised by the bird children. I thought it was really cool how they stood together and could fly.
My favorite character was Max. I loved how unique she was and how she protected all the other children. I also loved how she could fly and was so free.
After reading this book I couldn't believe that someone could do experiments on kids like that. At the end i was kinda surprised on who the kids ended up with. I think that James Patterson could have described the kids better but other than that the book was very good. I can't wait to read the sequels to the book. I think that this book is good for all ages because it has alot of fantasy. I recommened this book to anyone that has a good imagination.

A Page Turner
James Patterson has done a number of overlapping novels around the theme of beautiful genetic hybrid children who fly. His books are often page-turners that engage the reader almost against your will. One is inclined to forgive the loose ends of plot development that he leaves lying around. However, the notion that a large group of renegade genetic manipulators could operate in secret and with impunity from law enforcement (not to mention investigative journalists!) as it kills off its opponents and conducts massive man-hunts for seven flying kids, is a little too much of a reach.
Still worth the read, even if you don't buy the sequels.
