Classic!

The classic French press, with a slight improvement. It's got a plastic collar around the top to sift out even more of those pesky grounds. It's a great size when brewing for a crowd, and nothing makes a more delicious cup of coffee, period.

The only thing you might consider is a carafe. If you're not going to drink your java all at once, it gets cold quickly in the single wall glass beaker. No big deal though. Ice coffee is just as good!

Chambord Coffee Press

I've been longing for "restaurant-quality" coffee at home for years. After sipping a delicious cup at a local bistro where the coffee was brought to my table in a Bodium press, I purchased one, and in the past month I've bought four more for friends and for use at home when guests come for dinner. Great Java!

People love the coffee, but best results require a burr grinder. I also purchased a 4 cup version of the coffee press for making smaller batches or decaf batches. I can now throw out my old coffee machine.

Love the Bodum AND Amazon!!

When I broke the beaker for my Bodum Coffee press I didn't realize I could buy a replacement until after shopping all over town for a new one then coming to Amazon to see if it was available here. I discovered through this site I could get a replacement beaker for a lot less than buying a new one and what size to get (which is a bit tricky). I rushed outside to retrieve the broken one from the garbage which was waiting on the curb for next morning pickup. Quite a sight for the neighbors....

The replacement beaker was for the 8 cup size and as I shopped on Amazon I also found the 12 cup press available for $19.99, more than $25 off the local price!! Now I have my everyday 8 cup version and a larger one for when I have guests.

There was one downside. The 12 cup Bodum press arrived with a broken beaker. Whoever packages these things for mailing isn't very meticulous. However, Amazon made the return amazingly easy with free postage and I received a replacement within a week.

The Bodum coffee presses are wonderful and Amazon is the best!....Thanks!

Emancipation from Mr. Coffee

I used to replace my Mr. Coffee fairly often. They wouldn't get hot enough, clean enough or they sprung a leak. This is a wonderful press with a longlife mesh filter. I brew everything in it, coffees and teas, without any of that bitter edge electric pots can give you. I can brew a 12 cup beaker faster than I could in my old electric drip pot. It's a breeze to clean, so none of that old pot taste. If I want something in my whole pot of tea of coffee like sweetener or cream I just put it in at the beginning. I highly suggest trying a press, especially this one.
