Kitchenaid Pro 600 Ice Cream Maker accessory as good as any standalone ice cream maker

It really does!! My wife made chocolate chip ice cream and peach ice cream on her first try, and although that has much more to do with her MAD crazy cooking skillz than it does the actual item, the point is that she had no trouble with this device whatsoever, and she was able to leverage the Kitchenaid Pro 600 mixer's power and versatility rather than having to buy yet another kitchen gadget. If you've arrived at this review in a search for information on what mixer to buy, then believe me, the one you want is the Kitchenaid Pro 600. The only hard part is what color to get!

Great home made ice cream!!!

I have to say, this is worth the money!! I got this as promotion from Kitchenaid, so I got this for free, but i would definitely pay the money for it!!! I can make sorbet, ice cream, and sherbet pretty quick, and it definitely beats store bought! If you have ANY skills in the kitchen, this is a wonderful addition!

If you own a Kitchen Aid mixer, this should definitely be the first attachment you buy! My wife and I absolutely love using this and experimenting with different kinds of ice cream. A great thing to get along with this is the Ben & Jerry's recipe book. If you've always wanted to make your own ice cream, this makes it so very easy!
