The kids love it!

Our six copies of Leepike Ridge arrived yesterday afternoon (one for each kid). Three hours later my fifteen year old daughter had finished it. It took a few more hours for my 12 and 10 year old daughters to get through their copies. My fourteen year old son had the trouble of a lawn mowing business and a baseball game getting in his way of finishing it before midnight last night. The seventeen year old daughter managed to spill coffee all over hers at work where she is a barista, but still managed to finish before the book had been in her possession for a day. Now the five year old son has every intention of reading his copy, but is still trying to master Dr. Seuss. Sooo, my review is second hand but I look forward to my own read of this obvious page turner.

A page turner

This book is a great read-aloud for families with a variety of ages. It is suspenseful, witty, and has wonderful characters. I have one daughter that has missed a few readings and now wants her own copy so she can read what she missed. I had to read ahead to find out what happens. It catches you from the first sentence, and does not disappoint. I am looking forward to N.D. Wilson's future books.

Great read - and I'm 25! I'm ordering it for all my neices and nephews birthdays this year! I'm excited to get the first edition too...I have a feeling this book will become a classic! N.D. Wilson writes with exploding potential for greatness!

exceptional!

I could hardly put Leepike Ridge down! It was written for ages 9-12, but this is one of those books like the Chronicles of Narnia--most certainly a book for all ages! The classical allusions were just great! (though I'm sure a missed a whole lot of them!) Definantly one I will be reading to my kids one day!

wow....great book!!!

Leepike Ridge is a wonderful book...creative, exciting, fun, intelligent, the list goes on. I read it in 2 sittings, while my husband read a chapter nightly to our 5 year old son. Upon finishing it, he has busied himself making plans to visit the place as soon as we'll take him. My husband and I just loved the story, but more importantly my son can't stop talking about it (he wants crazy berry juice for his next birthday) and he wants to start reading it again tonight! Thanks N.D. Wilson for such an inspiring tale to put on our shelves and read again and again. I plan to give this out as a fun party/holiday gift and we look forward to the next release from this promising young author!
