London Bridge is Not the Only Thing Falling Down...
Over the years, I have been a huge James Patterson fan. However, I have noticed that in the last few years, he is more interested in churning out massive numbers of
novel
s that he has supposedly co-written with some unknown authors. My favorites in the past are the
Alex
Cross
and The Women's Murder Club novels. That being said, I have seen a huge decline in Patterson's writing since he has decided to begin mass producing novels. This one in particular left me feeling completely frustrated and disgusted (think Hannibal by Thomas Harris).
I hate books that end by forcing you to go back through the book to figure out who the heck the villain was because it turns out to be someone with such a minute role throughout the story, that you can't even recall who it is! Mr. Patterson, certainly you have enough money by now, to be able to kick back, take your time, research your subjects and go back to writing high-quality suspense novels. Forget the ghost writers who are riding on your coattails, stealing your name and thunder, and besmirching your reputation as an excellent writer!
As the nursery rhyme goes,
"
London
Bridge is falling down,
Falling down, Falling down.
London Bridge is falling down,
My fair lady...
Build it up with silver and gold,
Silver and gold, Silver and gold.
Build it up with silver and gold,
My fair lady...."
After reading this novel, I am convinced that Patterson is hoping to build up his empire with silver and gold at the expense of his writing reputation falling down.

I love Alex Cross
and read all of James Patterson's books!! I didn't like this one as much as some of his older
Alex
Cross
books but would still recommend it to those who just can't say goodbye to this detective!
Love James Patterson Books
I was eagerly anticipating this book because of the way the book before this one ended, Big Bad Wolf. This one had me a little worried that Patterson would kill off
Cross
and I won't say if he did or not but it certainly keeps you at the edge of your seat wondering if this is the end for Cross. Two doubly bad psycho's in one book both gunning for Cross who team up to get him is one heck of a ride in this book.
