The Latte Factor is the Real Deal......

Yes, I did experiment with one of David's many suggestions: it is not what you make but what you spend. I looked hard at my spending and within 2 weeks I was able to cut $262.00 from my spending. This book is a mini-encyclopedia, a mini "cliffs notes" to those of us who are on the last train to financial independence. It has challenged me to put the metal to the peddle and educate myself on the financial instruments available to me to play catch-up. I intend to read it again with a notebook so that I can note all of the websites that are given, so I can see for myself what I can now do for myself. Before I read this I thought that it was impossible for me to reach my goal, but now I see that it is possible, just with what I have.

One of best books I ever bought

I took this out at the library several times until I finally decided to buy it since I knew it was a great book and one that really changed my life. It's excellent and practical. It changed the way I did things and I feel that my financial situation is much better for it and also more organized. I didn't realize much of what is in this book (things like don't pay off all your credit cards before buying a property, etc.). There is lots of advice out there and it's hard to know whose advice to follow - my advice is follow the advice in this book and you can't go wrong. He knows what he's talking about and it works.

Wow! So much wisdom and so many How To's

This is a wonderful book for the financially challenged :-) like me. I learned so much and it gave me belief that the future (my financial future) is promising.
One other book I'd recommend that will compliment Start Late is The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. Not a financial book but the principles of The Slight Edge go hand in hand with Start Late, Finish Rich. The Slight Edge

Really good book! There are other good books too...

Terrific book! Another good book that helped me tremendously was the one at www.financial-planning-book.com. I wish amazon sold the book from there. It was called Best Financial Planning Book and was the absolute best book on financial planning that I've ever read. Hope that helps someone.

David Bach has a very practical approach to guide you to the course you want to be on for you personal long term investments. It is an easy read with just enough stories to inspire you and information to arm you no matter how 'late you start' to 'finish rich.
