a bit more than just entertaining
Yes I agree that this was a fun read but it also contains some knowledge about wildlife that isn't widely known. Read carefully,
you
will get a picture of what it really serioiusly means to be a
guide
, not only in how to handle or not handle certain wildlife but the equally dangerous situation of handling people. I too look for more writing by this author and even though my copy was from the libarary I intend to buy this book for gifts to a few guides I know.
Great Book
This is a great book. I started reading it as soon as I received it in the mail and just loved it. I then passed it along to my adult daughter, who also read it in record time and thoroughly enjoyed the book. Now we are passing it along to my son.

I haven't laughed this loud in years
In August, 2 friends and I rented a truck and drove all through
Botswana
. Our advance trip planning included a bottle of dehydrated gatorade mix, some peanuts, a few GPS systems and some
guide
books. In some ways, nothing could have prepared us for the experiences we were about to have. I could sympathize completely over sinking a vehicle in croc infested waters and having awkward and hysterical bathroom moments with the local fauna. I haven't laughed this hard in ages. Bravo!
Whatever you do, don't miss this book!
This book's got it all: it's funny, interesting, and even educational. At times I marveled that the author survived his first days in the bush. I'm glad he did, though, otherwise we wouldn't have this great book! A must-read for anyone who likes travel, adventure, Africa, or animals.

Or at least be brave!
For those of us that are addicted to travel literature, this book is just a fun read. Lots of humor and personal adventure. It does give
you
the desire to visit
Botswana
and the Okavango Delta.
