This Saved Me!

I can not say how thankfull I am for this book!!! It truly saved me. After looking through the Web this was the book I had sent air-mail. And it was really worth it.

1. I like the language. Short, snappy, to the point and most of all up beat - that it is possible to get over it, or at least live with the problem. I like the focus on solutions. The only thing that wasn't helpful was the fact that it was mentioned that this problem its "compulsive" people. Fine. But where do we go from here. I LIKE being compulsive. I like hitting those problems with all I have and then winning thought and feeling, really feeling the problem smash and fall away in pieces. So I'm an adrenaline drug addict. I like living on the edge. I love getting into that trance and there is just me and that problem, no pain - no world. I don't even mind the wall that hits me when I come out. Nobody really talks about it, but let's face it - big problem. What do we do next? Start a 12 Step Program for Computer Druggies? No Way! But what do we do? Normal intelligent people who really love doing what they do? What do we do?

2)I LOVE THE STRETCHES & GLIDES!!! I have 2 copies of the book. One I lend out - the other never leaves my house. I couldn't be without it. I have had blinding pain which was mostly gone after doing all the stretches and glides. I can not say how much this has helped me. That doesn't mean the problems are solved, just that I don't have to live on painkillers.

There is a Jewish saying "If you save one life it is as if you saved an entire world." Jack and Suparna, thank you so very much for my life.

best book on the market

I have constant numbness in pinky and ring finger- but of allthe stuff I 've read--and trust me I've read just about everything out there- this is King- a good explanation of whats really going on-(most books dont talk much about nerve entarpment either- this one does- as the one of the authors had this problem. most docs dont know what is really going on, or thats been my experience- they give hoaky explanation as to causes- and focus only on treating symptoms. If I'd read this early on I'd been saved. Hopefully I can have some sort of recovery still. But you should be wise enough to get this early on. I 'll choose to remain anaonymous, as I'd hate some employer forming a black book from reviewers on this list. I do hope to re-enter the work force some time.

Career saving book that cuts to the quick

After just 18 months in a new career I had my first full-blown RSI attack about two weeks ago. The obligatory 20 minutes with a doctor yielded a prescription for muscle relaxers, a Physical Therapy referral, and no real understanding of RSI. I inhaled this book, thrilled that Jack and Suparna had the courage and knowledge to put some hard truths right up front. In its pages I discovered my exact problem. There is no quick fix, but Jack and Suparna point you in a direction that works--and just might spare you chronic pain, needless surgery, dangerous drugs, wrist or arm braces, and even job loss.

Thanks again, Jack & Suparna

This book was a godsend! For the past 6 weeks I have had pain in my hands--bad enough that I read a book on arthritis and began taking non-prescription joint supplements. I just assumed it was arthritis. The main cause of my pain had nothing to do with computers. For the past 2 1/2 years I have been attending a health club affiliated with a hospital to lower cholestoral and improve bone density. I regularly use the gym 4-5 times a week which usually involved my gripping firmly various handles and grips as I use treadmills etc. I am a small person and had to grip firmly on a new piece of equipment in order to get a heart reading--I might do this for 20 minutes. After reading your book I have been watching my wrist carefully--at the gym, in my car or whenever I can adjust my hand so that the wrist is relaxed. The redness, swelling, sensitivity have pretty much disappeared in a few days. Thanks a hundred times.
