I am 7 1/2months pregnant with my first child and just bought this book for my husband for his birthday last week. WHAT WAS I WAITING FOR??? In less than a week this book has changed my husband from a terrified, distant, unaffectionate husband into someone who wants to take my picture so I can see how beautiful I am when I'm pregnant! And he's bringing home presents to show me how much I'm appreciated. I have read a few chapters with him and have laughed out loud. This book has totally lightened the mood in our house and made me feel like my husband finally has some idea of what WE are going through.

Barron has a knack for articulating the male condition during that first pregnancy. If you're gonna b e a dad, you owe it to yourself to take a look at this book. If you do, you won't be able to put it down.

A must for the dad to be!!!

This is not a medical book or in-depth learning. This is light hearted and something for the dad to be to sit back relax and read! And have fun while they are doing it! They will learn a lot and you PG will be much more fun!!!!

My husband works close to 80 hours a week, getting him to read anything but a newspaper is not easy. I purchased this book late in pregnancy for fathers day and he has been reading it. His only comment that was negative was that some of the humor was a little on the corny side, but other than that the book is short, to the point and gives him an idea of what to expect from the day you both find our to the first days home. It really gives him an idea as to what I am going through. This book is perfect for the first time dad.
