Good Reading
This book has great
insight
and understanding of a person who is
brain
injured. If you know someone who has had a
stroke
and cannot communicate, this book helps you to understand what the person needs to heal. The only thing I found to be negative for me was the scientific explanations for everything that was hard to understand and not fast reading. The actual story of Jill's experience is fascinating.
My Stroke of Insight
For those of us who loved The Secret, this book totally explains from a scientific point of view what it is like to live totally in the positive. Just the extra push I needed to stay on track. This book was written to help
stroke
survivors and their families understand what is going on in their lives, but to me it was written for those of us want to know how to stay in the moment and be totally happy.

We love you, Jill Taylor!
You've made a difference in daily living by proving how much we can do to help ourselves be better human beings. Thank you! Ann Laforest
Very useful information
This is a great book, full of information concerning
stroke
. Everyone should read it, as it can happen to anyone at any time. I am caring for my daughter who had a stroke following a motorcycle accident in '03. Wish I had access to this information sooner. It is written in the first person so it is very easy to stay with it and interesting reading. Reading this book is like talking with your best friend.
I wish we could tak
I wanted to talk to you about spirituality and the concept of the EGO thinking mind and the soul knowing mind. Actually what you gave two stars for (IMO) is the true 5 star portion of the book. Why, because if true, it proves the "thinking mind", "knowing mind" aspect of all spiritual teaching. The basic theory is that our sprit (soul) sits in the background absorbing experience while the thinking Ego mind thinks that it is in control.
I ask you as a friend, no I plead that before you answer me you read one more book that might revolt you at first but will contain very important answers to your unspoken questions. Please read "The power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle
