Sony vs Samsung

After much debate, I placed an order through Amazon for the Sony Z series 46 inch. The price was great, reading about the screen not reflecting was great, and the fact the screen was smaller sounded wonderful!

Then I went in town to make sure the Sony met my needs. There was the Sony Z series and Samsung right next to each other. Comments on each of the above.

1. The screen on the Sony still reflects, it is more muted, instead of a light reflection you get hazy light reflection, this in effect washes out the screen.

2. The Samsung has deeper and more accurate colors. The Sony looks like its from a different generation. True the Samsung reflects like glass... but the darker image makes this not matter. only time you'll notice (when the screen is black and outside is bright).

3. The Sony 1080i looked much worse than the Samsung, the amount of detail does not compare.

4. Size. The Sony is nice how small it is. The touch of color just makes the Samsung needlessly bigger.

So all this said, by the Samsung if you want better images. (NTSC looked the same on both screens).

Buy the Sony if sizes is very very very critical

A must have for gamers & movie-lovers alike!

It was only a matter of time that I would finally get a purchase a high-end 1080p television.

Today was the day I did just that.

After reading many reviews (pros & cons) about the 46-inch Samsung 120hz LCD 1080p HDTV, I absolutely love it. The touch of color sleek and depth to the television. The colors are bright and vivid. To me, the design is nice. Some people have negativity towards the outsides edges of the screen because it reflects light. I don't see a problem with it. It all depends on where your television will be at.

As for the 120hz Auto Motion Plus, it's a neat little addition to how you view your movies. Some people like it while some others don't. They say it makes the movie watching experience look like your watching a documentary. You have the option of turning it off or adjusting how you want it to look from low, medium to even high.

This television does not disappoint at all. I still yet have many days and countless sleepless nights to break this television in.

So far, so good.

To say that this Samsung HDTV is great is like saying Joe Namath was a football player or Eric Clapton is a guitar player or Robert De Niro is an actor. This is without question the best there is regardless of price.

I was hesitant to order a major purchase like this on line but it was an absolutely flawless transaction. Communication provided by Amazon was great, tracking info was right on target and the shipping company was punctual, courteous and very accomodating.

The picture, which I had viewed in a store, is even better than I saw. This Samsung product is a sensory overload. The manual is very good and thorough in its directions. Remote is very nice and offers a large set of options for your viewing pleasure. The wireless connectivity to the internet is very cool and works perfectly. Menus galore for all types of options and tweaking. Sound quality is very good.

I have seen reviews where people nitpic things like the Touch of Red (ridiculous), the wheel on the remote (even more ridiculous), and other obscure items. I'm here to tell you that if you are looking for a 46" HDTV and choose another HDTV over the Samsung LN46A750, you will be kicking yourself in various body parts for quite sometime to come.

Excellent Quality, 120Hz is awesome!!

I own this LCD TV for over 2 months now and its been excellent. The HD movies and games are great to watch on 120hz. The DLNA feature is good to watch movies and photos. Simple to install the s/w and works well.

Worth Every Penny I Paid

I have had this tv for over half a year and I still love it. The picture is great, you don't get bad glares from the sun or lights, and the size is awesome!
Few notes:
-The clear outer bezel has not affected my viewing enjoyment good nor bad
-The DLNA capabilities do exist, but I still prefer to stream to my PS3 if given a choice
-HDMI + this tv = awesome
-The speakers do surprisingly well on their own
