Thank YOU UK!!!!
Estelle is the Lauren Hill of 2008! Same smoooooooooth voice with the flow that any R&B singer needs. LOVE this album. There isnt one bad song! I recommend this album to anyone who wants to move when they listen to music.
Bravo!!!
Rarely do I ever purchase a CD that I love in its entirety upon the first listening. Estelle, gurrll, you did your thang!! I LOVE this CD. I could listen to it over and over and over again. Perhaps I should've ordered two copies in case I wear this one out from playing it too much.
In Heavy Rotation
I purchased this CD only familiar with 1 song and by far it was my best musical investment all year long. Thanks Estelle for the refreshing sound, I love to hear your voice and your message. I play at least one song per day, sometimes the same song 10 times a day, track 10 with John Legend, You Are.
Buy it you'll like it (or not)!

Great Album from a Beautiful Woman
Although Estelle has released albums before in her native U.K., I must admit this is my first time listening to the sister and I must say...BLOODY GOOD JOB! She sings, she rhymes, she looks good in a video (check out "American Boy" video with Kanye West). However she needs no guest spots to sparkle (although they are welcomed). My favorite tracks are "More Than Friends", "No Substitute", and the aforementioned "American Boy". She has soul in her voice when she sings, but it never teeters on pleading or whining about lost love like so many R&B songs. The production on the songs are fresh and can be played in a club, in your car, or at the office. This is just a great CD to listen to and I cannot say that abnout many CDs nowadays.

More like 3½ stars..
I purchased the CD because of all of the hype surrounding its release. But I don't think it lived up to its hype. I thought it was pretty good because of her "edgyness" and ambigdexterity. She sings well and has a nice flow too but won't make you forget Lauryn Hill or Missy Elliot who master it. The tracks were pretty basic, nothing special but I like her edgyness that you usually find in a lot of pop artists like Pink and Winehouse.
