Quality addition to the Young/CSN catalog

A great-sounding addition to the legendary quartet's career. Sure, it's top-heavy on Young's latest music and his confrontational Living With War album, but he is far and away the most talented and consistent songwriter of the group, and if you're a fan of Neil's then you'll have to add this to your collection. A great live album bookended with a beautiful new piano ballad version of 'Living With War' which is completely opposite to the original version. Let's Impeach the President, indeed!

Compulsive and Compelling

I must admit that i approached this album with a little hesitency through the track list and some of the less flattering reviews.Listening to it was a pleasant suprise.I knew what to expect of both the politics and the music as i have a bootleg recording of one of the early dates on the tour. The sound on this recording is a lot clearer and crisper. As far as official releases go,i must say i enjoyed listening to this far more than either american dream,or looking forward. Both albums had their moments, but ultimately failed to realise the full potential of CSNY.CSN add an energy and urgency to the LWW songs which is missing from the neil young versions. They add that special touch to his music which lifts them to a magical listening experience.I would have liked them to release a cd/dvd of a full show, but this is a film soundtrack and delivers perfectly well within that scope.Long may CSNY continue to rock and speak out. There are rumours of other releases in the pipeline ie a 1974 tour release.Let"s hope they appear quickly. On the strength of this album,we have been deprived of new CSNY releases for far too long.

Wish there was another CD

This is flat out one great album. It beats the hell sonically over the dozen or so audiance recording being passed around. Only problem was that this was a marathon concert and so much was left out. So many great songs that they performed it's a shame to see this album so Neil Young/Living With War heavy. I loved LWW very much and played the bejesus out of it, cranking it on my car stereo in the very conservative town I live in. But it would have been really nice to have the other songs from the tour better represented. Guess I'l make my own conpanion disk from the audiance recordings to compliment this album. As it is, though, this is a great souvener from a great tour. If it was a bit more complete it would get 5 stars from me.

NEIL YOUNG with crosby, stills & nash

For those of you who've never seen this band in their hey day, be thankful to have this product, at least you'll have a technically sound documentary of this band performing together--a considerable achievment from a band notorious for sparse product development and poor marketing prowess.

For the rest of us who long for the good ol' days, when Crosby, Stills and Nash were as productive and significant as Neil, cheer up! It's been reported that among the many projects Graham Nash is currently undertaking is the release of a DVD from the 1974 CSNY TOUR.

A bootleg copy of the Wembley Stadium show has been in circulation for years. Although technically inferior to what we've become use to these days, the historical significance of this show overshadows the sound and video deficiencies. Back then, a CSNY concert was a veritable "KITCHEN SINK OF ROCK 'N' ROLL,"featuring top-ten hits, extended guitar duels between Stills and Young, longer individual sets and the debut of many
new songs. Personally, I was disappointed in the 2006 song selection: too political, too much Young and too little Stills.

CSNY, it should be noted, are one of the few bands from
the "classic days" of the '60s with all the original members, and for that alone we should be grateful for this current Deja Vu' DVD.

Hopefully, they'll be able to pull off one final tour that pays tribute to the music of CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG as four equals who've provided so much joy, love and insight into our lives.

Forget ABU JAMAL, it's time to free Stephen Stills--I think he might agree.

final note: If you enjoyed the tour, you'll enjoy this dvd. If the 2006 tour did not live up to your expectations, purchase this show, but keep a sharp eye out for the 1974 CSNY stadium tour--when football and baseball stadiums were used for the first time to book an entire summer tour.
