kinda short but really good

I figured that with all the people pissing and moaning about the EA security software, someone would actually like to hear about the game itself.

It's short, but it's still a really fun game. The game is the "special mission" Psycho is given in Crysis right after you blow the carrier as Nomad and right before the Tank level.

The story is pretty good, a little weaker then the first but doesn't have as many holes in it. You'll just have to play it to find out what I mean. There are new toys to play with:
Weapons: FGL40 grenade launcher which has two firing modes; impact detonation and remote detonation, AY69 MMG hand gun which can replace your pistol but it rides up like the SMG so it's difficult to use and the PAX (I don't remember what it stands for), a very nice gun that's a slow reload but unlimited ammo and boy does have a kick to it. It can take out the little mini drones with one shot.
Vehicles: ASV armored vehicle and a hovercraft.
Grenades: the FGL40 has an EMP and a frag grenade. As for throwing grenade; we now have a claymore mine (those are really fun), AT (anti-tank) land mine (it blows the Humvees and everything else in a 15 foot radius sky high) and a "nanogrenade" - it's an EMP type grenade that disables nanosuits (the KPA has the suits and grenades too, so watch out because there are more of them in warhead then in crysis).
There is also a new turret, anti-vehicle, it's slow but pretty powerful.

The graphics are as breathtaking as the original, even on the lowest settings. The sound is great too, the only thing is it isn't the same guy who does the voice for Psycho but it's another London accent (think Jason Statham's accent) so it's not too bad.

You also get what's called "Crysis Wars", it's its own disk of a multi-player game. I haven't installed it but from what the booklet says i figure it's alot like Halo, you can play online or play in a LAN (Local Area Network) party. There is a death match game and power struggle game. Power struggle is like king of the hill, play as US or KPA. Sounds fun but I don't have anyone to play with.

If you want a long, "keep you on the edge of your seat game", this may not be what you're looking for. But for someone that likes FPSs or just want something to do while your bored, this is a great game.

More of the same (but still great)

If you have already played Crysis, there is not much new here. Instead of playing as Nomad, you play this game as Psycho, another of the special team deployed to the island.

However, the game is very well done and has less of a goal-oriented play style, which allows a bit more freedom to do things as you like instead of how the game designers intended.

Overall, I would say this game is definitely worth playing if you loved Crysis and want some more of it.

P.S.: I know that a lot of people have complained about the DRM mechanism used in this game, but I personally had absolutely no problems with it. In addition, it was convenient to be able to play the game without having to search for the disc everytime someone pulled it out of the drive.

Let's Be Fair

Let's be fair. This game is being rated here because of the copy protection, not the quality of the game. This is the same heart-stopping game that made my hands sweat and shake in Crysis. No, it's not quite as exciting as the original, and it IS very short.

Not everyone has an exclusive game machine, so I planned to reformat the drive and reinstall the OS after I finished the game. I didn't need to.

Yes, I agree that copy protection is insidious and I hate the way most companies make your computer their toy so they can make a few more bucks. Then again, if we didn't "share" our game with others, it wouldn't be necessary. These people have to make a living just like you do.

I rate this game four stars instead of five because it is short and heavily copy protected, but it's still exciting and fun.
